Xenophyte A04 - Syrresh
Syrresh is largely sedentary and appears to function as a form of storage and repeater, holding a signal (a chemical trace, a vibration, a memory) until prompted by some unknown stimulus. Only then is the message released (sometimes duplicated but often subtly altered).

Syrresh has been observed to move only very rarely, and even then, shifting imperceptibly over great spans of time.
